This is the subreddit for everything about the music game. You are a rookie Producer at 765 Pro, a talent agency, and guide several pop idols on their path to fame. The first game was released in arcades, but by now the iM@S franchise is available on most consoles and handhelds, in anime and manga and even on the radio. Please watch warmly as the girls reach new heights. For more information about The Idolm@ster series check out the Rules. Don't be a dick. No piracy Related Subreddits.

Covers strategy for the game THE iDOLM@STER 2, with a focus on the PS3 version for use by English-speaking players.

Otaku Subreddits. Other Subreddits. Ive heard about The Idolmaster for a while, it sounds pretty sick. But honestly I dont know where to start or how to get into it, especially as someone who cant speak Japanese (yet). There are multiple games, consoles, ios etc, some apparently have translations, others don't. Im not sure which games are the best to start with, if there are any older ones that can be skipped or new ones that I should wait to enjoy. Is there any way to buy official english versions?

Or Mod Japanese versions with a patch (on PC I take it)? Seriously I dont know where to start, and what to do in order to start. I found you guys and I really hope you can point me in the right direction. Welcome to the club! I understand very little Japanese, but I was still able to play the Im@s 2 game pretty easily, any trouble you have can easily be solved with a quick search on google.

If you haven't watch the anime! It's a really good story and I very much enjoyed the story. Next; Pick a favorite idol and get into heated debates with other people why your idol is better.

If it not Yayoi, you're wrong (Kidding, obviously! Everybody in the community is really cool and any 'debates' on favorite idol is always just for funnies') It may seem really overwhelming with content at first, but once you understand whats what, the content sorts itself out. There is a new Im@s game coming out soon, so if you're looking to start, that'd be a great spot, because you can keep up with DLC and new content much more easily. There is a lot already out for Im@s 2 and it may seem overwhelming.

(As noted in other comments, you must have a JP PSN account to buy these, but the Ps3 is not region locked and it's very simple to do!) I'm fairly new to the scene myself. But if you're ever lost anywhere send me a PM or something. Sorry for the essay, I had too much coffee. Don't listen to him. Everyone knows that Chihaya is the best idol! Wwww Seriously, though, I second the part about the anime.

It's by far the best way to get a feel for all of the characters personalities without any Japanese knowledge. The majority of the games are all in Japanese, though. They're simple enough to follow and play, but if your Japanese is as bad as mine, you might not get the full experience of the story. I'm not sure what the policy in this subreddit is on this, but it's worth mentioning that the folks over at TLWiki were working on unofficial patches for the iDOLM@STER SP series, which are at varying stages of completion. Personally, I prefer iM@S 2 over the older SP trilogy, but they're still pretty fun to play.

The only translated version is the IOS shiny festa which is very bad and overpriced. The first game is xbox exclusive and the system is region locked so your best bet is to get the ps3 version of im@s 2, there are guides for playing for example though to my knowledge there is no full translation. You can buy the game physically or on the japanese PSN though you'd have to buy japanese PSN cards to get digital. I would suggest where i bought my copy but it seems to be out of stock. If you get physical be sure to get 'the best edition'. So, its more of the thing where 'play the game in Japanese, just refer to some of the english translations elsewhere?'

Im in a way ok with that. I am learning Japanese (2nd year), and Ive already played a few games in Jap where you have to refer to a separated english translation of the main stuff.

I can live with that, just would I be missing some of the core experience in that way? (like, character development or something) I have a PS3, so idolmaster 2 is my best bet I take it. If I buy the, will it still work on an Australian (g'day mate) PS3? Im also new to buying foreign console games so is there anything specific I have to do to get it to run? The only guides for playing the game I've seen don't translate the story at all really, they simply say which choice is the correct one and what options are what in menus so you miss out on the majority if not all of the story. As for the region locking, PS3 game region locking is only for very specific games, not including im@s so it will work on any system. The one you linked is fairly expensive (the one i linked costs less than half that) so you should probably look around more though.

Fifa 14-crack v4.exe. Fifa 14 no-dvd crack v 4.0 links updated with the new version of fifa 14 crack.

One word of warning for anyone getting started with Im@s, beware of the shear quantity of stuff that is produced for this series. Namco knows that the fans go nuts for stuff and they are very happy to milk it for all it is worth. The DLC is crazy expensive and there is TONS of it, character CD's, figures, the weird mobile card games, even a Im@s slot machine has been done. Also while slightly off topic you should also note that is getting a release, while not Im@s it still looks like a lot of fun and is in the same genre. The first thing you should know is that there are two different 'continuities' to the Idolmaster universe. The first game is it's own thing, while nearly everything from Dearly Stars and Idolmaster 2 on is part of the '2nd Vision' story.

You can download iM@S Channel and enjoy the rhythm games there so long as you have a Japanese PSN account and some cash for the PSN cards if you want just the rhythm game portion. G4U is on there too, but all those consist of is taking photos of the girls. Super easy trophies, but very little gameplay and unless you just love the cast or a particular girl, there's no real reason to pick any of them up. You can get Idolmaster 2 and play through the game using a guide while watching the anime (it's on Crunchyroll) to get most of the story, as it is very faithful to the game. Not 1:1 of course, but you should easily be able to tell what story sections from the anime pop up in the game.

The game is really good and addicting once you get the hang of it. The only complaint that I have really is that the DLC is ridiculously expensive.

Like, 1,500 yen for a single song. There are no PC Idolmaster games, unfortunately and the only official translations of the games are the ones on iOS. That are $55 EACH. So that's a grand total of $165 if you want them all. You also have to have certain models of iPhone/Pad/Touch to be able to play it. I know that anything from the 4S and on will play them for the phones, but I'm not sure about the Touch or iPad, These games can be played on iM@S channel for far less if you pick and choose the songs you actually want to play. Finally, Puchimas is a goofy little spinoff that you can catch from Funimation's streams.

For anything else, you'd have to have a better grasp of Japanese or actually live in Japan to get the full experience. Things like Cinderella Girls and Million Live are gimped in features for unverified players and a japanese phone number is required for verification.
