I am just wondering if any one else is running this combo. I'd love to seem benchmarks from that to compare to mine.

Advanced Micro Devices (NYSE: AMD) is an innovative technology company dedicated to collaborating with customers and partners to ignite the next generation of. Alternative ATI drivers? I remember back in the day there were Omega drivers. I run these with my 2x 4870x2 QuadCF setup with mostly good results.

Download base system device driver for windows 10. Driver Easy will automatically recognize your system and find the correct drivers for it. Method 3: Update the Drivers Automatically The easiest way to update the driver is use. I am at my wits end. Simply am not getting the performance I should. Have tried new driver install. Tried xp with my old sytem. Have done memtest.

Multiple power supplies. Runs with catalyst AI off. But as soon as I turn it on to enable the second gpu its crash city.

Both show up under devices. Did try the run 2 gpu-z at the same time, and it did look like one core wasnt working. I have been lucky with all my previous builds, no problems.

I guess my time has come! Hopefully someone with a similiar setup is up and running! I also have this problem. With ccc off or removed you can play fallout3, but it's on one core only. The crossfirex ati icon shows in the top right corner of fallout3 when it's on / working. It's most likely not the card at fault. The problem is too common it seems.

With vista aero on I crash at boot as soon as the ccc kicks in. I turn that off to boot, but as soon as I have cat ai activated it crashes the system with a reset. It takes a good 4 minutes to reboot after a long black screen pause.

I have an asus maximus extreme with everything up to date. I tried a full reinstall of os, drivers, 2gb & 4gb ddr3. Lots of combinations. When I first installed the gpu it worked fine for a few days with 8.11, since installing 8.12 I have what seems to be a borked card. But I suspect the card is fine. I have of course rolled back drivers to no avail. The performance of one gpu is poor compared to two in crossfirex & not what we paid for.

Any fixes welcome, as it's a very expensive door stop. This thread is like the potential gold pot at the end of the rainbow.

I have what seems to be the exact same types of issues as all of you guys. I get crashes with simple games such as WoW and HL2: Lost Coast, and any other game that does run simply runs poorly (especially with the $ and horse power thats in this system). I already have an RMA on my card in place but the more I'm reading I'm starting to think drivers may be the issue. It seems theres just poor support for dual gpu's on one card at the moment. As soon as I finish posting this thread I am going to take a look into this AI that you guys were posting about and see if I can get my card to run on one gpu and see if I get any better performance, or simply some better stability within 3d games.

One question that I have that has not been addressed is regarding ram, and specifically the triple channel ram. I believe I have it setup right with the 3x1gb sticks in the A1,B1, and C1 slots but I was just looking for confirmation. I never dealt with dual or triple channel ram before so having the sticks setup a special way was a bit new for me. For anyone with the Asus P6T Deluxe I have my sticks in the 3 orange slots. The only thing that I can think of for issues (other than hardware/software issues with the video card) would be maybe some faulty ram sticks or maybe I simply have them in the wrong slots. Catalyst 8.10 I have the Vista64/P6T Deluxe/i7-920/4870X2 2GB/6GB DDR3 and initally installed Catalyst 8.10.

I only push one game to the limit and know it inside and out.and that is Flight Sim X Deluxe. But I can say that I have been running perfectly and can mess around with the config all I want fine with Catalyst 8.10.

I can do anything and never have a problem. But as soon as I upgraded to 8.11 or 8.12, I get problems.primarily, I cannot even get FSX to load in Full screen mode at all.

My machine screen is just black and nothing happens and I get other fatal error issues, etc. I have images of my hard drive, so I can quickly re-image back my drive to 8.10 and I never have a problem. I am waiting for the next release of Catalyst like 8.13 before I can upgrade. I have the Vista64/P6T Deluxe/i7-920/4870X2 and initally installed Catalyst 8.10. Vista64/P6T Deluxe/i7-920/4870X2 That seems to be a popular setup Same here; At the moment i dont have any issues with it. Only waiting for my 6 GB ddr3 1600 mhz RAM. Now i'm using 2gb ddr3 @1333. I dont really have any graphical issues, I start looking on these forums for the temperature of 85C under load.

Turns out my system even has low temps with 60C idle. In GPUZ both cores show up. I tried the Crossfire symbol in one game and it showed, I think it was FC2. Ill check that again later though. The 3d mark scores i had were in the 7000 on extreme. Didnt check anything else because I wanted to wait for my RAM (and no frustration over crappy performance on my brand new rig ). There is one strange thing however.

In CCC The overdrive tick is enabled but I cant change anything on the whole page. I can change the values if i create profiles and edit them in a text editor. Its a bit cumbersome though since i can see the darn interface so why not let me use the sliders. Anyway, I wanted to inform you guys that I dont have similar problems like you with my card. It runs every game like COD4 or medieval TW II on maximum settings like it should. FC2 runs at 50fps using everything at the highest (1920x1200 max AA, everything max), only when I enter the town it starts stuttering a littlebit.

It is still shows 50fps though during that stuttering, so I guess that is a RAM issue (2gb total is a bit little when vista already takes 1). Only Call of Duty WAW 5 has some strange graphical glitches during the beach landing, seemed like artifacts (thats how I discovered the high temps). Before the problems i did run great though.

Ill post my stats when I receive my RAM and perhaps OC the core I7, hope you all have luck with your cards! Cheers EDIT: with 6gb ddr3 1600 finally installed this setup goes and goes The 3D mark vantage score is still 71xx, so it didnt really change. However before I saw stuttering sometimes when the fps count still in 50's.

I guessed it had to do with RAM shortage, and it has proven today. FC2 with. at Ultra High, 1920x1200 & 8xAA runs very smooth Crysis Warhead with. at enthusiast and 1900x1080 4xAA runs similar smooth.

Only 8x gives a little noticable drop in FPS but is still very playable at 20-30 FPS. However I like to play much smoother at 4fps, not really much of a difference on the visual part. However in my memory the game looked better though on a Dell 24' screen (the expensive version) and 2x Nividia 260GTX in SLI.

However that could be very well the colors of the monitor or perhaps nvidia settings. Will compare those setups for myself soon. Right now I didnt oc my cpu or gpu. I did oc the cpu to 3.8Ghz (stable) changing only the bclk to 190 (like asus says in the manual), but i dont trust the stock intel cooler that much (reaching 77 and higher on 100% stress tests). However with the 6GB RAM installed I clocked it down and I wont oc it anymore, at least for some time Back to topic: So anyone with this setup (and 6GB RAM) definately has a problem if it doesnt give you a spectacular performance.

A common problem might be that the card needs 2 power cables and at least a 650W psu. I almost missed the second power supply:bugeye:, perhaps some other messy heads have looked it over completely.
