I upgraded today (RER radio) and now my previously paired phone (Nokia N95 that Used to work flawlessly), and now my phone won't recognize the radio when I try to pair. Anyone else have this happen? Update - After shutting the car down and walking away with frustration, I tried again after ½ hour. I was able to pair the phone, but the radio still won't allow me to make phone calls. Screen shows 'Please wait' then goes back to the radio screen. Update 2 - I guess patience is a virtue. After waiting for about 2 hours I tried again.

Now it works. I see the phone book icon on the lower part of the screen with a check mark next to it, does that mean my phonebook downloaded from my phone? How do I access that? Hi guys, i own dodge-downunder.com and yeah we hosted it for a while but nearly 100gb bandwidth was used up and we pay for it here, then some idiot said some things that offended so it was removed. If yall need to know anything about mygig just ask, im know a fair bit! Hey, thanks for coming over and saying HI!! Hey, I installed it today and I love the cell phone phone book d'load feature. My iphone 3g (2.1) connected right up and the phonebook immediately downloaded to myfiles/phonebook/iphone Also like the search feature for songs. I am glad it fixed the 'no sound sometimes on start' this happened to me the other morning, I was leaving and needed the NAV to get somewhere, I turned the radio on and had no audio no matter what I did, I shut the car off and turned it on, no luck, So I had to go into the service menu and do a master reset which worked, but it obviously wiped out all my music, settings, pics, etc. So I am glad that was fixed in the update (hopefully). I just had a replacement RER unit installed by the dealer.

It has ver 9.807 installed. Does anyone know where I can download a manual for this version? When I noticed the Jukebox (JB) function was missing I called my dealer. They seemed to think there was problem with the new unit and scheduled me to have another look at it. After some searching, I found that the JB function is in a different location under ver 9.807.

I don't think I even need it with the new functions under HDD. Anyway, it's apparent that my dealer doesn't know about the new version.:rolleyes2. Just installed it on a 2008 RER. Installation took 20 minutes. No luck so far with getting it to download my contacts from the Gen 1 iPhone running 2.1 firmware, but it does pair with it. My HDD on the unit shows 2GB of space used, but none of my music is there.

I think I recall that this happens to some folks and that letting the car sit a few hours returns your songs to you. I'm guessing it needs to re-index the contents of the HDD to find everything that use to be on it. Since there is no option on the iPhone to 'send contact' via bluetooth, I'm hoping it sucked my contacts off as well and is doing it's hard drive magic with them as well. I did see an icon on the radio's display that looked like a phone with an arrow pointing to a book. I'm guessing that was the download of contacts.

I'll check again later tonight. Well, I checked again and the RER seems to have none of my contacts downloaded to the HDD. It only has access to them when the iPhone is nearby and bluetooth is activated.

Using the 'Menu' button on the right to browse file, my address book has only the following folders: HOME In-Motion Folder Default Folder VR Created Entries When the phone is in the car and bluetooth is activated I get a 5th folder: Dave's iPhone Folder My music is apparently gone as well. When I check the HDD in 'Menu' I can see tht 1.918GB's of space are used and there is something like 18GB's free. No music to browse though, no genre, no artists, etc. Starting to wonder if I need to pull the vehicle out of the garage and into view of a satellite. Maybe it needs to handshake with the satellites to completely activate? Maybe the car needs to have the engine actually started to finish it all up?

Perhaps the HDD doesn't spin up to finish the job until the car is started? Anyone have any thoughts?

Guess I'll see again tomorrow when I head to work. UPDATE: drove to work this morning - no music on the HDD. 8 hours later, I drove home and my music was back. I don't know whether the engine needed to be started to get the process going, or whether it needed to 'log in' to the satellites.

I'm thinking that starting the car did the trick as I had no music this morning driving to work in line of sight of the satellites, and it was in a concrete parking deck all day. Anyhow all is fine now except there is no 'permanent' download of my iPhone contacts. They are only available then the iPhone is on with bluetooth active. Does anyone else have this issue, or are your contacts in a folder on your RER that stays there when your phone is off?
